CLARISSA ANN BLAKE
THIRTY FOUR
RECREATED
MEMORY MACHINE MAINTAINER
KATIE LEUNG
basics BIRTHDAY: APRIL 29 STATUS: Married with One Child and Expecting Another ORIENTATION:Strqight KEY TRAITS: Confused. You know that feeling where something is just out of your mind's reach? Yeah, Clarissa (or Clary, as she's more commonly called) gets that a lot. She feels like there's something she should remember but can't seem to figure out. Sometimes she is kept up at night trying to figure out what the thing is, but she never can get it. Motherly. Clary loves kids and is very kind and gentle. She is absolutely overjoyed to be expecting another child. Idealistic. Clary- for reasons she can't always quite explain- sees the city as a utopia. It is a perfect place for humans, and she can't understand the rebels at all. Because of this she doesn't feel guilt for using the memory machine even though an argument could be made about the morality of such a device. Intelligent. Clary reads a lot and speaks three languages (Spanish, Japanese, and English). Clark's three favorite books (or sort of books, anyway) are Paradise Lost, Beowulf, and Moby Dick. Her favorite poem is Dies Iræ by Abraham Coles. Confident. Clary knows that most people who are pregnant get very self conscious about their weight; Clary doesn't feel that way. She is usually very confident about her opinions and doesn't waver in her choices. Independent. Clary doesn't really listen to other people. She is a hard way learner and rarely takes advice. She is sometimes put in the headstrong categorybehind the mask Hello! My name is NEVERMORE and I am 14 years old. As of today, I have been role playing for approximately ONE years. I also play NO ONE. | Appearance: All her life, Clary has been absolutely tiny. At just five feet tall, it isn't often that she looks down on an adult. She is normally very petite, but currently she's heavily pregnant. Her hair is long, about halfway to her waist and she's growing it out. It's straight, blackish brown, and very silky. She has almond shaped brown eyes. Clary is also known for her thin limbs- fragile limbs. Clary has thin, tiny bones that break easily (it's not a good thing). Her first child managed to break two of her ribs. Her doctor didn't think she should get pregnant again; she didn't listen. Clothing: Practical. Clary doesn't do dresses and heels. She typically wears tight pants (black, usually) and a tight fitting shirt (again, black). She almost always wears black boots. The boots are tight fitting and go a fair way up her leg, but don't reach her knee. Her hair is usually worn lose but can sometimes be seen tied in a loose ponytail. History: Clary wasn't born in the city. Her parents were both rebels. Her mother's name was Keiko Okabe Bizzard (Keiko Lynne Okabe before her marriage). Keiko was the perfect rebel. She had no respect for authority and saw the city as a corrupt, unfair entity. At age fifteen she ran away. She wandered for a while and nearly died. A group of rebels found her half dead a mile or so from their base. They took her in and nursed her back to health. One of the rebels took a liking to her. His name was John Joe Blizzard, and he was Clary's father. It was primarily John who helped Keiko recover. By age twenty, John and Keiko were pretty much inseparable. John and Keiko was used as if it was one person- John and Keiko wants this, rather than John and Keiko want that. At age twenty five John proposed. Keiko agreed for two reasons. Love, of course, was the first, but the second was that she was pregnant. Nine months later, Clary was born. Clary was raised to love the rebel cause. But she didn't see it as anything good. She saw the city as a perfect place. She considered running away, but she wasn't sure they'd take her in. At age fifteen she, after a fight with her parents, ran away after all. She met a young man named Blake on the road. He was headed to the rebel base. She told him about many awful things about the base and the two returned to the city together. His family took her in and she lived with them for five years. Around this time the idea for the memory machine started to emerge in her mind. Just as she began drawing up plans she was captured during a rebel raid and dragged home to her parents. They tried to convince her to stay, professing their love and slathering her with admiration. Clary didn't like it- it just felt fake. She wanted to go back to the city. And even if she hadn't wanted to return, she couldn't stay at the rebel base. She was pregnant with Blake's child, and it made her shudder to think how her parents would react. But they suspected she'd try to escape, and it was six months before she saw an opening. Her pregnancy was really starting to show, and she was desperate to escape. She snuck out in the dead of night and made a run for it. She was pursued but she reached the city before the pursuers- she had escaped. She returned to Blake's family. To them she readily confessed her pregnancy. They were supportive, which was good- the last few months of Clary's pregnancy was hard. Two of her ribs were broken and her doctor wasn't sure she- or the baby- would survive. But Clary proved to be stronger than he'd thought. Lea May Blizzard was born. Clary loved her daughter and secretly hoped to have another child, even though her doctor warned against it. Around this time she and Blake created the memory machine, and also got married. Clary chose to simply replace her surname with Blake. She wanted to forget her rebel life and the name seemed a good start. One year later the couple realized the machine was being exploited. But when they spoke out, they found themselves on the other end of the machine. Their ill will toward Declan Spring was removed. And so we're the memories Clary had worked to suppress. She now believes that she was found outside the city at age five and taken in by the Blakes. Six months ago, Clary found out that she was pregnant again. She was overjoyed and one of the few people who didn't worry whether she'd be safe. She also chose not to stop working and plans to keep working until the day she delivers. This is partially because she's begun to wonder about some of her memories. She found out from conversations with various people that she was not found outside the city at age five as she'd believed. Clary was starting to wonder if maybe she was one of the Recreated... how long will it be before she puts two and two together? |
